The cycle of conversations "Semear Hoje…Colher o Amanhã…" will return to the Municipal Library Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen, in Loulé, on September 25th at 6:30 PM, with the theme "Hormonal Health: what men and women need to know". The initiative is organized by the Municipality of Loulé.
The session will address hormonal health as a fundamental pillar of human health, influencing growth, reproduction, metabolism, mood, sleep and energy levels throughout life. According to the Municipality, hormonal balance is closely linked to brain function, and can affect concentration ability, memory, motivation and mood, with hormonal changes potentially contributing to symptoms of anxiety, irritability, sadness or sleep disorders.
The conversation will be led by Bernardo Pessoa, a specialist in General and Family Medicine and Sports Medicine. The event challenges the population to reflect, share and debate the topic.
During the session, participants may also enroll their children, aged three or older, in an activity dedicated to the promotion of books and reading, led by library professionals, subject to prior registration.
