The GNR detained in Castelo Branco a 33-year-old man who was a fugitive from justice. The individual had already been convicted for homicide and was wanted by the authorities.
The detention occurred when GNR military personnel intercepted the man and asked him for identification. During the approach, it was possible to verify that he was in possession of documents belonging to another person.
After confirmation of his identity and the existence of an active arrest warrant, the man was immediately detained by the military authorities.
