Cantagalo Park, located on the shores of Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas in Rio de Janeiro's South Zone, gained new lighting. The modernization was completed by the company RioLuz and expanded the lighting infrastructure of the space, including equipment that promises to improve conditions for using the park at night.
The project included the installation of 38 new fiber poles, approximately one kilometer of conduits and 43 new junction boxes with anti-theft covers. According to RioLuz, the new infrastructure reduces the system's vulnerability to theft and acts of vandalism.
The president of RioLuz, Rodolpho Maldonado, stated that the goal was to deliver a modern, efficient and sustainable system that offers more security to visitors and enhances one of the most beautiful spaces in the South Zone.
With approximately 14,000 square meters, the park is located between Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas and Morro do Cantagalo.
