Viana do Castelo Promotes Mini Back-to-School Festival

The Municipality of Viana do Castelo is promoting on Saturday, September 19, the Mini Back-to-School Festival, an initiative that celebrates the start of the new school year with activities for the whole family. The event takes place at Praça da República and Porta Mexia Galvão, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and is part of the Digital Commercial District of Viana do Castelo – Heart District project.

At Praça da República, the program includes a special edition of Street to Play from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the Game of Glory throughout the event hours, and a Circuit from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. At Porta Mexia Galvão, activities are planned by Viana STARTS, Amadeus School, the Municipal Herb Garden, and the Universo Encantado store with the LEGO world.

The Digital Commercial District of Viana do Castelo – Heart District is a project financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan, developed in consortium by the Municipality of Viana do Castelo and the Business Association of the District of Viana do Castelo. The total investment is 721,516.35 euros, within a total eligible investment of 1,134,892.63 euros.
