Firefighters were dispatched on Monday morning, September 14, for a possible fire at a factory in Alcarraques, in the municipality of Coimbra, with reports of smoke coming out of the building. Authorities went to the scene to assess the situation and verify if it was indeed a fire.
The incident caused concern among local residents, who reported seeing a large column of smoke rising from the industrial unit. Firefighting crews arrived quickly and began assessing the extent of the situation.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the smoke and working to ensure the safety of the surrounding area. No injuries have been reported so far.
