extra14 September 2026 at 08:00

Sesc celebrates its 80 years with a special Zeca Pagodinho show next Saturday at Sesc Nova Iguaçu. The free presentation brings together hits that span generations and are part of the history of samba and the artist, considered one of the most popular in the country. The event marks the institution's anniversary celebrations in Baixada Fluminense.

Free tickets will be available starting at 11am this Tuesday, the 15th, through the +Sesc RJ app. They can also be picked up in advance at the box offices of Sesc units in Nova Iguaçu, Duque de Caxias, and São João de Meriti.

The audience is invited to donate 1kg of non-perishable food at the entrance to the event. The gates will open at 5pm. The donations will be collected by Sesc Mesa Brasil, the institution's hunger relief program, and destined to institutions that serve people in vulnerable situations.

Why this matters

The population of Baixada Fluminense will have access to a show by one of the most popular artists in the country for free, democratizing access to culture. The requirement to donate food transforms the event into a social action, benefiting institutions that serve people in vulnerable situations in the region.
