Roberta Medina, executive vice president of Rock World, the company that organizes the Rock in Rio and The Town festivals, confirmed that Rock in Rio will take place in September 2028. She also announced that The Town will occur in São Paulo next year. Among the novelties for 2028, Rock in Run was presented, a race whose course will start outside the City of Rock and will have the finish line inside the event.
The executive estimated the total audience for this edition at more than 700 thousand people, including technical crews. Roberta joked about the rain that returned on the last day of the festival, after a break on Friday and Saturday.
The rain fell heavily on four of the seven dates of the event's schedule. The bad weather left the City of Rock with many puddles in the middle of the paths used by the audience.
