In Singapore, air quality reached harmful levels for the population's health. The images released show a grey sky with very reduced visibility, creating concerning atmospheric conditions for the region's inhabitants.
The main cause of this situation is related to smoke from forest fires affecting neighboring Indonesia. The flames have been sending large amounts of particles and smoke into the atmosphere, which spread across the region.
This problem is not limited to Singapore alone, but affects all of Southeast Asia. Several countries in the region are facing similar poor air quality conditions due to the same origin of forest fires in Indonesia.
