A GNR officer was run over and injured in Almada following a traffic operation on Estrada da Fonte da Telha. The incident occurred when a motorcyclist failed to obey a stop order given by the officer.
The suspect, who was riding a motorcycle, disobeyed the stop order and struck the GNR officer during the escape attempt. After the hit-and-run, the driver continued fleeing and remains unidentified.
The injured officer was treated at the scene and later taken to Hospital Garcia de Orta, where he received medical care. Authorities are investigating the case and working to identify the suspect at large.
