The Civil Police arrested this Sunday Ronaldo Vivacqua, identified as the hidden partner of one of the construction companies responsible for the building that collapsed in Penha, East Zone of São Paulo, in the early morning of Saturday. The accident happened while it was raining and the building under construction fell onto a house where a family of Bolivian immigrants lived.
The collapse resulted in six confirmed deaths: three women, a girl and two men. The Fire Department teams concluded the location of all victims and informed that the site will remain under the responsibility of the authorities for forensic work and other applicable measures.
A child and a man were rescued alive from the rubble. Both are hospitalized and are expected to be discharged by tomorrow. The identity of all victims has not yet been released.
