Pope Francis remembered the victims of the September 11 attacks in the United States during a general audience. The pontiff renewed his call for peace at a time when, according to him, conflict and violence afflict many of his brothers and sisters.
The Pope invited everyone to pray that God grants the gift of peace to the world. This message was delivered during the general audience held in St. Peter's Square at the Vatican. The call for peace comes in a context of persistent international tensions.
