This year, the historical procession of Feiras Novas brought to the streets of Ponte de Lima the history of the 200 years of the pilgrimage. The event showed how the festival was experienced in the past and how it has reached the present day, celebrating this tradition with a strong historical component.
Among the traditions presented, some are still maintained today, such as the ethnographic procession itself and the challenge songs. Other traditions that have been disappearing over time were also represented, such as the stick game.
