The Moura Choral Group performed at the September Fair - Crafts, Knowledge and Tradition, which took place at the Municipal Fair and Exhibition Park in Moura, whose edition closes today. The show allowed the audience to hear the voices of this group dedicated to cante alentejano.
The Moura Choral Group was founded in April 2024, by initiative of a group of friends who shared the passion for cante alentejano. The initial objective was to perform at the municipality's festivals.
More than two years since its founding, the group is currently made up of approximately 35 members, from various age groups, demonstrating the intergenerational character of the project.
The group has already brought cante alentejano to various points of the region and the country, contributing to the preservation of the cultural roots of the territory and to the dissemination of this musical tradition.
