China set a new Guinness record by serving 2,500 doses of a traditional dish in just one hour. The feat was achieved with "shazhucai," a typical stew from the country's northeast.
The dish is prepared with pork and pickled cabbage, following a traditional recipe that uses various parts of the animal, including bones, shredded meat, and sausages. This combination of ingredients reflects the culinary tradition of northeast China, known for its nose-to-tail approach to cooking.
The event marking the record-breaking achievement attracted international attention to northeast Chinese gastronomy, highlighting the cultural and culinary importance of shazhucai as a representative dish of the region.
