Chinese President Xi Jinping offered China's support to accelerate the technological and industrial development of BRICS member countries, with special emphasis on Artificial Intelligence. During his intervention at the second session of the bloc's leaders' summit in New Delhi, Xi presented five cooperation initiatives in the fields of AI, trade and investment, digital industry, smart manufacturing and talent development.
Among the Chinese offers, the support to implement open language models that allow the creation of an "open and inclusive" AI zone for BRICS stands out, as well as the construction of smart factories, a cloud platform for the digital industry of bloc members, and the training of young talents in advanced innovation and technology. Xi stated that China's 15th Five-Year Plan represents not only an internal development roadmap but also "a list of cooperation opportunities for the world".
