Luís Francisco's candidacy for the presidency of the Football Association of Évora announced that it had reached an agreement for the establishment of an Arbitration Academy in São Sebastião da Giesteira on September 12. The understanding was formalized between the candidacy, Grupo Desportivo Unidos da Giesteira, and the Parish Council of São Sebastião da Giesteira, providing that the future academy will use the club's sports facilities.
The project was designed with a long-term perspective, with a planned duration of 20 years, and will be framed by a cooperation protocol to be signed shortly between the entities involved. The academy is intended for the training, preparation, and development of referees affiliated with the Football Association of Évora.
The initiative seeks to address the need to increase the training of new referees, improve preparation conditions, and create mechanisms that allow for monitoring their development over time. The candidacy believes that the project's time dimension and the cooperation model between the associative movement and local institutions could give distinctive characteristics to the initiative.
The protocol that will establish the concrete operating conditions of the Arbitration Academy has yet to be signed, so the project's completion is dependent on this formalization. The agreement reached represents a commitment made by Luís Francisco's candidacy for the future of the Football Association of Évora.
