At the town council meeting held in the parish of Colmeias, the residents of the area presented several demands to the local authority. The main requests are related to the need for basic sanitation, better roads and public lighting.
The mayor of the municipality was present at this meeting and informed the residents about the state of negotiations with Infraestruturas de Portugal. According to the mayor, negotiations are underway for the construction of two roundabouts on the IC2 road, in the area known as Barracão.
This intervention on the IC2 aims to improve safety and traffic circulation conditions on that road that crosses the region. The construction of the roundabouts comes as a response to traffic and accessibility problems identified by the local community.
The demands of the residents of Colmeias reflect basic infrastructure needs that affect the quality of life of the population. The municipal council thus demonstrates willingness to dialogue with citizens and advance improvement projects in the parish.
