Polling stations opened today at 08:00 in Sweden for the legislative elections, which are taking place in an environment of great political expectation. The elections promise to be highly contested, with unpredictable results for the future of the country.
The ballot presents two main possibilities: a possible return of the left to power or, for the first time in Swedish history, the entry of the far-right into government.
