Several vertebrae of a giant dinosaur were discovered in the Cabo Espichel area. This is the most complete set of fossilized remains of a herbivorous dinosaur ever found in Portugal.
The dinosaur belonged to the Cretaceous period and scientists estimate that the fossilized remains are approximately 125 million years old.
The researchers will now proceed with the analysis and identification of the vertebrae to verify which specific species the discovered remains belong to.
