Climate change is the central theme of a study that sought to understand the impact of these transformations on young people. The study reveals that Portuguese young people express significant concern about the effects of climate change on the future.
The young people ensure they are genuinely concerned about the consequences of climate change. However, despite this awareness, they demonstrate difficulty in moving from concern to concrete action.
This study comes in the context of a growing global debate about climate change and the role of new generations in responding to this challenge. The disparity between expressed concern and the capacity to act suggests barriers that young people face in actively contributing to the mitigation of the effects of climate change.
