More than 30 people gathered in Porto to participate in a protest initiative in defense of children victims of abuse. The event was organized to draw attention to the situation of these children and to demand changes in the practices that affect them.
The promoter of the initiative, Raquel Santos, warned about the existence of numerous judicial decisions that force children victims of abuse crimes to be with the parents who were their aggressors. This situation was presented as a serious problem that directly affects the well-being and safety of the children involved.
The protest aims to raise awareness among the population and authorities about the need to protect children victims of abuse, questioning the judicial decisions that force them to maintain contact with their aggressors. Participants defended that these children must be heard and adequately protected.
