The Civil Police of Paraná investigate the death of Thaissa de Oliveira Marques, a 21-year-old nutrition student, stabbed this Friday in the city of Londrina. The young woman was handing out flyers in front of a gym when she was murdered with stab wounds.
The suspect was arrested and confessed at the police station that he had been watching Thaissa for some time before approaching her. According to the man, the initial intention was to commit a sexual crime against the student. Thaissa resisted the sexual assault attempt and ended up being stabbed dozens of times by the criminal.
The Londrina City Hall issued a statement mourning the young woman's death and expressing solidarity with the family, stating that her life was cut short "in a brutal manner, just as still happens with so many women, victims of violence."
