Over 30 people gathered in Porto for a demonstration in defense of children victims of abuse. The participants wore red capes and white masks with a red cross on the mouth, in a symbolic representation of the silence imposed on victims.
The protesters carried signs with the message "abuse is not parental rights", denouncing situations where child abuse is presented as legitimate exercise of parental authority.
The gathering took place in the city of Porto and brought together people who defend the protection of children against all forms of violence in the family context.
