Penafiel's heritage will be in the spotlight next weekend, September 19 and 20, with the European Heritage Days. The Penafiel Municipal Museum promotes a program that includes guided visits and activities for families in two outstanding spaces in the municipality.
The guided visits to the Castro de Monte Mozinho take place on Saturday and Sunday at 10:30 am and are free, with no prior registration required. This archaeological site is one of the main historical landmarks of the municipality.
During the afternoon, between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm, the program moves to the Village of Quintandona, where the Interpretation Center hosts educational-playful workshops aimed at families. These activities are also part of the programming of the 18th Caldo Festival.
The activities are free and require no registration, but access to the village and the festival grounds is subject to the purchase of the respective wristband. The initiative brings together heritage, archaeology and activities for several generations, allowing visitors to better know two spaces that are part of Penafiel's identity.
