The Regional Civil Protection Service (SRPC) issued a warning to the population this Saturday alerting to the increase in rural fire danger in Madeira. The warning is due to the gradual worsening of meteorological conditions expected over the coming days, remaining in effect until Tuesday, September 15th.
The alert is based on weather forecasts from the Portuguese Institute for the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), which indicate conditions favourable to the ignition and spread of rural fires in the region.
The most affected areas will be mainly those identified as vulnerable, although the original text appears truncated in this section.
