A 15-year-old boy was rescued alive after having spent nearly three days adrift in the icy Bering Sea, off the coast of Alaska. The teenager managed to survive by clinging to a boat that had overturned during the time he was lost in the cold waters.
Local authorities coordinated the rescue operation after being alerted to the young man's situation, as he faced extremely low temperatures and adverse conditions throughout the entire period he remained adrift in the ocean.
The Bering Sea, located between Alaska and Russia, is known for its icy waters and frequently harsh weather conditions, which makes any prolonged survival in the water extremely dangerous and unlikely. The fact that the teenager was able to survive for nearly three days under these circumstances is considered remarkable.
