The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere extended until Monday the yellow warnings in nine districts of the Centre and South of mainland Portugal due to high heat.
The GNR issued an alert warning of a "significant worsening of the danger" of fires caused by high temperatures.
The districts covered by the yellow warnings are located in the Centre and South region of mainland Portuguese territory.
Authorities recommend vigilance in the face of high fire risk during this period of intense heat.
