On the day dedicated to k-pop at Rock in Rio, the festival recorded hundreds of medical attendances for panic attacks, anxiety, and fainting. Many victims were in the crowd barrier of Palco Mundo and fell ill after feeling pressured by the crowd.
At the medical station located behind Palco Mundo alone, more than a hundred people were treated since the gates opened at 2 PM. Among them, more than ten fainted, while others arrived with a sense of discomfort caused by anxiety and panic.
A nurse at the station reported that many of the victims were children who became desperate in the crowd, reporting shortness of breath and tachycardia. She described the day as frantic, saying they did not stop for a minute and that the station remained busy until nightfall.
At another medical station, closer to Palco Sunset, 96 people were treated with similar symptoms, reinforcing the scale of the incidents during the day dedicated to k-pop at the festival.
