Minister André Mendonça, from the Supreme Federal Court (STF), decided this Friday to lift the secrecy of cases with high political repercussion derived from the Master scandal. The decision was made after a request from the Attorney General's Office (PGR). Mendonça ordered the lifting of secrecy from 38 cases pending before the Court. Combined with Thursday's orders, 53 actions had their access restriction removed in two days.
The cases that had their secrecy lifted include investigations related to the film "Dark Horse," a biopic about the Brazilian racehorse that was a champion, former Rio de Janeiro Governor Cláudio Castro (PL), Senator Ciro Nogueira (PP-PI) and former Senator Jaques Wagner, in addition to other inquiries. All these cases are related to the developments of the crisis involving the Master case.
The inquiry targeting Senator Flavio concerns the financing of the biopic about his father, former President Jair Bolsonaro. According to the investigations, the senator was the "direct interlocutor" with banker Daniel Vorcaro to request resources, which would later be "managed" by the former congressman.
