President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva's (PT) campaign is preparing to promote changes in the tone of electoral propaganda in light of the scenario of intensifying electoral dispute and the institutional crisis caused by clashes between Supreme Court (STF) ministers. The reinforcement of artillery against Flavio Bolsonaro (PL), Lula's main adversary, should already appear in electoral propaganda from Saturday.
The Worker's Party leader's aides, however, see limited effect in increasing the offensive against the adversary targeting the financing of the Dark Horse film, a biopic of Jair Bolsonaro. The strategy seeks to exploit the investigations involving the former president's son.
Flavio is under investigation in an inquiry opened in July by the STF to investigate possible irregularities in the financing of the "Dark Horse" film, about his father, former President Jair Bolsonaro. The investigation deals with suspicions of corruption, money laundering and currency evasion involving resources linked to Daniel Vorcaro.
In May, an audio was revealed in which Flavio demands resources from the banker to finance the cinematographic work. The content of the messages and the ongoing investigations should be exploited by Lula's campaign in the coming weeks of electoral propaganda.
