The Department of Criminal Investigation of the Azores, through the Judicial Police, arrested a 58-year-old man strongly indicated for the practice of attempted homicide. The suspect is the victim's uncle, a younger man with whom he had an argument inside a vehicle.
The motivation for the attack allegedly stemmed from a dispute involving drugs. During the argument, the suspect stabbed his nephew several times, leaving him seriously injured. The incident occurred in a vehicle, the location where the altercation began.
After the crime, the victim was transported to a hospital unit to receive medical treatment. The judicial authorities initiated the procedures that led to the identification and subsequent arrest of the suspect, who was subject to precautionary measures.
