The Datafolha poll released on Friday (11) reveals that former mayor Eduardo Paes (PSD) maintains the lead in the race for the government of Rio de Janeiro, surpassing Douglas Ruas (PL) in all tested scenarios. In the first round with stimulated voting, Paes appears with 43% of the vote intentions, an increase from the 41% recorded in the previous poll from August 21.
Douglas Ruas appears in second place with 25%, a significant growth compared to the 19% in the previous poll. Anthony Garotinho (Republicanos) remains in third position with 10%, while the other candidates, such as Coronel Busnello (Missão), William Siri (PSOL), André Marinho (Novo), Cyro Garcia (PSTU), Juliete (UP) and Luan Monteiro (PCO), register percentages of 1% to 2%. Among those interviewed, 3% said they were undecided and 9% declared a blank vote, null vote, or that they will not vote.
The poll was commissioned by Globo and the newspaper Folha de S.Paulo. A total of 1,204 people were interviewed between September 8 and 10. The margin of error is three percentage points, plus or minus, and the confidence level is 95%. The poll registration number is RJ-09217/2026.
