FICTON, a festival that takes place in Tondela, goes beyond crafts, music and entertainment. During the event, which runs until the 16th, the initiative has transformed into a health space, hosting medical students from the University of Coimbra.
The students are carrying out free screenings for visitors to the event. This activity allows future doctors to gain practical experience while offering a proximity service to the local population.
The partnership between the FICTON organization and the medical students from Coimbra demonstrates how festivals can have a social and educational component, going beyond entertainment. The screenings aim to promote prevention and awareness of health issues among participants at the event.
