The president of the Municipality of Amadora, Vítor Ferreira, announced a new wave of investments in the municipality during the celebrations of the 47th anniversary of the County. The statements were made in the context of the festivities that marked this important date for the city.
Among the main projects announced, Vítor Ferreira revealed that the Municipality will proceed with the construction of 800 affordable rental homes, seeking to meet the housing needs of the local population. This initiative comes as part of a broader effort to improve living conditions in the municipality.
The mayor also expressed the intention to reactivate the old Sorefame factory, putting it back at the service of the city. This desire to recover the industrial space demonstrates the interest in revitalizing the municipal territory through new functionalities.
Additionally, Vítor Ferreira announced that he is negotiating with the Government the extension of the blue metro line to Amadora-Sintra Hospital, which would represent a significant improvement in the public transport accessibility of the municipality. The president concluded with the appeal "Let us work. Amadora cannot stop", expressing his determination to continue developing the municipality.
