The Datafolha poll released this Friday showed that rejection of candidates for governor of Rio de Janeiro Eduardo Paes and Douglas Ruas rose after the start of the campaign on TV and radio. Paes's rejection went from 26% to 28%, while Ruas's increased from 19% to 23%. Both candidates have been using electoral propaganda on these media.
Eduardo Paes is a former mayor of the state capital of Rio de Janeiro and is running for PSD, while Douglas Ruas is president of the Legislative Assembly of Rio (Alerj) and candidate for PL. The poll compared data from the previous survey, conducted on August 22, with the new scenario after the start of the electronic campaign period.
Datafolha also recorded voting intentions of the other candidates for governor of Rio. Among them, Garotinho (Republicanos) appears with 10%, Cyro Garcia (PSTU) with 5%, William Siri (PSOL) with 4%, and Colonel Busnello (Missão) with 3%. The poll also indicates that 5% of those interviewed don't know who they would vote for.
