Almost nine years after opening its doors, Petisqueira A Janela, in Oliveira de Azeméis, brought fado to the street during a stormy night. The event took place on Rua Bento Carqueja and featured more than 120 people who defied the adverse weather conditions to watch the performance of Oliveira de Azeméis artists.
The initiative consisted of transferring the monthly fado tradition that already takes place inside the establishment to the public space, warming the urban heart of Oliveira de Azeméis. The performing artists were described as having Oliveira de Azeméis talent, thus valuing local musicians.
The stormy night did not discourage the public from participating in this cultural event, demonstrating the community's interest in traditional Portuguese music and the work developed by Petisqueira A Janela over the almost nine years of existence.
