Automotive component exports fall 7.8% in the first half of the year

Portuguese automotive component exports fell 7.8% in the first half of the year, according to calculations by AFIA -- the Association of Manufacturers for the Automotive Industry.

The data was collected from the international trade in goods statistics published by Statistics Portugal.

Regarding the main destination markets, sales to Spain decreased 9.8% in the first seven months of the year.

Exports to Germany also registered a significant drop, with a reduction of 14.3% in the same period.
