The Vila Franca bullfighter Victor Mendes is celebrating 45 years of his alternativa with a program that includes an exhibition, colloquium, tribute dinner and novillada. The initiatives are being organized by the Clube Taurino Vilafranquense, with the support of the local authorities and the Association Escola de Toureio José Falcão.
Victor Mendes is native to Marinhais, but settled very young in Vila Franca, where his father worked as a clerk at the court. It was precisely in Vila Franca that he trained as a bullfighter and built his taurine career.
The celebration of these 45 years aims to recognize Victor Mendes' trajectory and contribution to bullfighting activity in the region, highlighting the importance of his career for the local community and bullfighting tradition.
