The National Congress concluded on September 3, 2026 the voting on the package that enables the Special Tax Regime for Datacenter Services (Redata). On September 1, the Senate approved Bill 278/2026, which suspends federal taxes on the purchase of information technology equipment destined for these ventures, including the IPI (Tax on Industrialized Products). Two days later, senators approved PLP 74/2026, which removes fiscal barriers and releases the regime still this year. The two texts follow for presidential approval.
