The Vila do Conde City Council approved a proposal to eliminate the toll gantries on the A29 and A32. The proposal was publicly presented by the city council president, Luís Filipe Menezes, and included this measure in the municipal budget.

The vote took place during a private meeting of the council. The members present approved the proposal presented by the president, who decided to make this intention public regarding the two motorways.

The A29 is one of the roads covered by this proposal to eliminate toll gantries. Added to this road is the A32, thus completing the set of motorways targeted by this initiative from the Vila do Conde local authority.
