A CGTP defends an increase of the national minimum salary to 1,100 euros by 2027. This position was expressed by Tiago Oliveira, who considered that the value set in the tripartite agreement falls far short of the real needs of workers to cover all expenses.
The CGTP leader considered that the target proposed by the trade union confederation is achievable. The defense of this higher value comes in the context of negotiations on the national minimum salary.
The CGTP's position contrasts with the value established in the tripartite agreement between the government, employers and some trade union structures. Tiago Oliveira highlighted that the value set in that agreement is not sufficient to cover all workers' expenses.
