Portuguese automotive components exports fell 7.8% in the first half of the year, between January and July, year-on-year, totaling 5,994 million euros, according to data from AFIA, the industry association.
The decline in sales was driven by the negative performance in the main European markets, which weighed on the sector during this period.
AFIA, as the representative association of the Portuguese automotive industry, is the source of these data on the sector's export evolution.
This decline represents a negative signal for the Portuguese automotive components industry, which has Europe as its main export destination.
