Fuel prices in Portugal are set to undergo significant changes in the coming days. Petrol is expected to drop by 4 cents per litre, as a result of an oil tax adjustment that aims to provide some relief to consumers.
In the opposite direction, diesel will suffer a new increase of almost 5 cents per litre, representing an additional burden for diesel vehicle owners and the transport sector.
This situation comes in a week when Brent crude oil surpassed the 100 dollars per barrel barrier, which has been putting pressure on fuel production and refining costs.
Consumers thus face a mixed scenario, with some relief on petrol but with a substantial increase in the price of diesel, at a time of high volatility in international oil markets.
