The Municipal Council of Santiago do Cacém, in the district of Setúbal, approved the application of Family IMI and a 0.5% IRS refund to residents of the municipality. The measures were discussed and approved on Thursday at a meeting of the municipal executive and will now be submitted to the Municipal Assembly. According to the STC – Somos Todos Cidadãos movement, which leads the executive, this is the first time the council has adopted these tax reduction mechanisms, which will take effect in 2027.
