An accident occurred on the Cape Verdean island of Fogo, resulting in the death of 25 people. The families of the victims will receive financial and material support.

Each family will receive 907 euros per victim, in addition to basic food baskets. This support is an initiative of the local council in partnership with the Government of Cabo Verde.

PF points out that Vorcaro was preparing to flee before being arrested

The Federal Police revealed in an investigation into Banco Master that banker Daniel Vorcaro was preparing to flee days before his arrest, in November 2025. According to a report made public by Minister André Mendonça, of the STF, messages and records on the banker's phone indicate that he had advance knowledge of judicial measures against him, monitored authorities, accessed confidential information from the investigations, and tried to obstruct justice. Vorcaro also relied on the group "A Turma," linked to police officers, to act against people considered adversaries.
