The President of the United States, Donald Trump, marked this Friday the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks. The commemorative ceremony took place at the Pentagon, one of the three main sites hit by the terrorist attacks that day.
In his speech, Trump highlighted the unity demonstrated by the country following the attacks. In a reference that became historic, he stated that "we were all New Yorkers that day," recognizing that the tragedy affected the entire American nation.
The president also reaffirmed the commitment to never forget the 2,977 victims of the September 11 attacks, a number that has become a central reference in commemorative ceremonies held over the past 25 years.
