Enzo Fernández moved from Chelsea to Manchester City at the close of the transfer window. The Argentine midfielder completed his transfer shortly after the end of the signing period.

At Manchester City, Fernández reunited with Enzo Maresca, his former coach. Maresca was the Argentina coach at the 2024 Futsal World Cup, where Fernández also participated.

Maresca now sees Fernández as a more attacking midfielder than when he previously worked with him. This assessment from the coach comes in the context of the player's new role at his new club.
