Taxis at Lisbon Airport Will Now Have a Fixed Rate Starting in October

Starting October 15, taxis at Lisbon Airport will start charging rides with a fixed rate, eliminating the possibility of negotiation or distance-based counting. This change applies to all rides departing from the airport and destined for various points in the city of Lisbon.

The fixed rate value was established in two categories: 16 euros for rides with destination to one zone and 19 euros for rides with destination to another zone. This measure aims to give passengers greater predictability about the cost of their rides from the airport.

The change comes in a context of high demand for taxis at Lisbon Airport, where passengers frequently faced difficulties in negotiating prices or were targets of abusive practices by some drivers. The objective is to protect travelers and guarantee a more transparent and fair service.
