Princess Astrid of Norway passed away this Friday, September 11, at the age of 94. The news came just two days after the funeral of her brother, King Harald, who had also recently died.
Princess Astrid was the sister of King Harald V and was considered the oldest member of European royal families. Her brother, who ruled Norway for over 35 years, died at the age of 89.
After her brother's funeral, Princess Astrid had attended the funeral ceremony. Her death occurred a few days after this event, in a short span of time that marked the Norwegian royal family with two significant losses.
