Lieutenant-General Nuno Lemos Pires, a defense and terrorism specialist, affirms that the world is "guaranteed to be safer against the possibility of attacks" like those of September 11th. This assessment comes in the context of the commemoration of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
However, the specialist points out a negative counterpart: the world is currently "quite more disunited, more out of tune." This disunity represents a factor that may hinder international cooperation in the fight against terrorism.
